For this assignment I photoshopped one of my pano photos into a ghost hunting show scene. This wasn't too difficult to me considering I already did something very similar to this for my second photo retouch assignment. I had a lot more fun on this one because there were a lot more elements to it besides just plopping pictures of lava into the photo and calling it done. I learned how to morph the ghosts so they could appear as though they're coming out of the graves. The original photo was also a lot brighter than this, I added a layer of gray over and a lighter gray over Hannah and Anna. I had a lot of fun with this project!

For this assignment we took photos around Saline and use photo-merge in photoshop to make them into panoramic photos. We had take 4 or more over lapping photos in order to give the photo-merge tool similar pixels to connect them. I learned how to use a tripod!
For my week one photo, I wanted to try and capture motion through a dancer, much like the photos above. I hope to get better at adjusting my settings to capture a more elegant motion blur instead of a sloppy motion blur like in my past attempts at motion.
For this assignment we had to photoshop two pictures one of ourselves and one just a random picture that we liked. We uploaded the photos and used step by step instructions to change the colors into a more Andy Warhol like image.
Throughout this assignment I learned that sometimes photoshop is stupid... and that light balance is very important because when the photo is too light or too dark it can completely mess up the photoshop job can be ruined.
In this assignment we went around the school and took pictures of the basic composition rule that we learned about to help us get more familiar of how our cameras act and to develop a better eye for photography. At the beginning of this unit we took notes on how our cameras take in light from the surrounding areas and make that into a picture.
At the end of this assignment I learned that I have a decent eye for photography but I need to work on how I can transfer the image in my head into the photo. I also learned that different types of lines can cause different emotions, like how horizontal can make you feel calm. I knew that with different colors can make you feel different emotions but I never realized it with lines. There were also a few tricks on how to remember what the aperture does, which really helped me a lot especially when I take portrait photos. |
